Coming Home Live at the Universal Ampitheater

This is Coming Home performed live at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles CA in October 1988. The performance was shot for TV but never broadcast because of technical issues (poor sound). The band was having some technical issues as well but it's still a fun clip to see.

Transformation

In the late 80's, maybe 1989, Brian, Tommy and Jim were in a nationally syndicated TV commercial. The bands unofficial manager at the time (Peter Katsis who has since managed Korn and Limp Bizcuit) told them of the auditions. The story goes that the producers were looking for actors who could actually play their instruments. Several actors and actresses showed up for the audition and most of them were obviously not able to even look like they were playing the song in the commercial. When it was time for the LG guys to audition they were actually able to play the song and perform when the cameras started rolling. For the record Greg was also at the audition and got the part but on the day of shoot, at the very last minute, he was pulled because the producer only had a budget for 3 musicians. Watch the video below. That's Jim with the red guitar, Brian is in the red pants (playing bass) and Tommy is on drums.
